La proposition de loi dite « anti nounous voilées » a donc été votée au Sénat à 22h30 mardi 17 janvier. Cette loi, proposée par le groupe RDSE, portait sur le principe de laïcité dans les structures privées de la petite enfance (crèches, centre de loisirs et assistantes maternelles).

Si le Sénat l’a votée, la loi doit encore être inscrite à l’ordre du jour de l’Assemblée Nationale et être adoptée. Plusieurs députés ont d’ores et déjà affirmé qu’ils ne voteraient pas cette proposition.

Le CCIF tient à remercier toutes les personnes qui ont répondu à l’appel et qui se sont mobilisés afin de faire entendre leur voix auprès de leur sénateur. Nous reviendrons rapidement vers vous afin de vous indiquer la suite de la mobilisation.

This law, proposed by Françoise Laborde, a member of RDSE (Left), would for example make it mandatory for a nanny to tell her/his religion to her/his future employer. Politicians responsible for this legislative bill explained that it was a necessity to protect children from a possible religious indoctrination, as if the veil itself for example would be a danger for the child. However, this law is not passed yet. It still has to be voted on by the National Assembly, and many parliament members already stated that they will vote against it.
